SAKURA MATSURI...
SAKURA MATSURI（＞原題のまま）が開かれた。DCを彩る４月の風物詩、桜の開花の時期に開かれるCherry Blossom Festivalの一つで、議会近くのストリートを封鎖し、日本食の屋台が出たり日本文化の紹介ブースが設けられる。
写真の人々は、囲碁同好会のかたがた。アメリカで囲碁がじわじわとブームを迎えている。チェス感覚で頭脳を試されるところがウケているらしい。そういや日本発のパズル「SUDOKU」もいまだにアメリカでブームが衰えない。
写真は合気道だか、居合いだかのデモンストレーション。空手や剣道だけでなく、さらにその先の武術を習うアメリカ人たちも、じわじわと増えているらしい。
ワシントンDCの路上にこたつが！？「こたつ同好会」なわけないが、「こんなすばらしい家具を、あなたの家にもおひとついかが？」てな感じで展示してた。
しめはゲイシャ。ただし彼らは正真正銘本物の日本の芸者。東京・赤坂から、招待を受けてこの祭りのためにパフォーマンスをしにやって来たらしい。本物の芸者の踊りなんて。日本人である私も見たことがないよ。。折しも映画「メモワール・オブ・ゲイシャ（邦題SAYURI）」の公開で、アメリカ人の間に、ミステリアスな踊り子、ゲイシャへの興味がわき上がっている。満員の客を前に、小雨降る中ゲイシャの踊りを、首都DCで堪能。。

My coder is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses. But he's tryiong none the less. I've been using Movable-type on various websites for about a year and am anxious about switching to another platform. I have heard fantastic things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress posts into it? Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure exactly why but this web site is loading extremely slow for me. Is anyone else having this problem or is it a problem on my end? I'll check back later and see if the problem still exists.
